Lions' Darryl Tapp rises, leads after harsh cut

Darryl Tapp played all 16 games for the Lions last year, the first time he accomplished that feat since he was with the Seattle Seahawks in 2009. The defensive end also had a sack, forced fumble and two tackles in the Lions' playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Yet, when people look back on the 2014 Lions team years from now, Tapp might become a forgotten member because he wasn't in the team photograph before the start of the season.

It's become a historical footnote, but Tapp didn't make the initial 53-man roster last year. The Lions made Tapp one of their final cuts last August.
