ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Jim Caldwell’s future is highly uncertain with the Detroit Lions, but the second-year head coach was having none of that conversation Monday during his weekly news conference.
Caldwell stonewalled almost any question about his future, what he needs to show the Ford family and the team’s yet-to-be-named general manager and what his case would be to keep his job. Instead, he kept his focus fairly singular: On Week 17 against the Bears in Chicago.
“The only thing I look at, to be honest with you, is this week and this week only,” Caldwell said.
