The Cleveland Browns wanted nothing to do with Armonty Bryant after his four-game suspension for a violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs ended Monday.
In need of pass rush help with Ziggy Ansah expected to miss his third straight game this week, the Detroit Lions welcomed Bryant with open arms.
The Lions were awarded Bryant off waivers today, and placed defensive end Wallace Gilberry on season-ending injured reserve.
Bryant, who was waived by the Browns early Monday morning, the day his suspension ended, had 5.5 sacks in 14 games last year.
