The Detroit Lions added some help for their depleted linebacker corps today, claiming Jayson DiManche off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals.
DiManche appeared in one game for the Cleveland Browns last year after playing the 2013-14 seasons with the Bengals. He made one start in Cincinnati and had 15 special-teams tackles and a blocked punt in his two seasons with the team.
The Lions have just eight healthy linebackers heading into Thursday's preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills, but starter DeAndre Levy is not expected to play.
