Now that there’s been an infusion of talent and depth along the Detroit Lions’ offensive line, staying healthy is the next big key.
The Lions started seven different combinations on their offensive line last year, losing several players to injuries and suspensions.
Offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn admitted that durability was a factor when scouting this year’s crop of rookie linemen.
“We are definitely looking at the durability stuff because it was a theme last year,” he said during the draft.
First-round pick Laken Tomlinson started every game – 52 in all – over the last four years at Duke.
