ALLEN PARK -- And so it begins.
The Detroit Lions have made their first cut of the week, serving offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz his walking papers Monday morning.
Detroit has until 4 p.m. Tuesday to trim its roster to 75 players. The final cut to 53 is at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Thanks to the @Lions organization for everything. Enjoyed my time... On to the next opportunity.

Schwartz was signed in free agency this offseason and expected to provide some veteran depth on the interior of Detroit's offensive line.
