Lions asked Matt Patricia about Roger Goodell clown shirt in interview

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- About a year ago, new Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia wore a Roger Goodell T-Shirt while getting off the plane after the New England Patriots won Super Bowl LII against the Atlanta Falcons.

The shirt depicted Goodell, the NFL commissioner, with a clown nose. At the time, CBS reported that Goodell was irked by Patricia’s clothing choice. And when Patricia interviewed for jobs this offseason -- at least with the Lions -- his sartorial choice came up.

“It’s not a concern at all,” general manager Bob Quinn said.
