ALLEN PARK -- The Lions are back from the bye, a week of rest, relaxation and wondering where this strange season might take them next.

They're 2-3 under first-year coach Matt Patricia. That part isn't surprising.

What's harder to square is how they got here and what it means going forward.

"That'd be probably what everyone would have expected -- to beat the Jets and lose to the Patriots," safety Glover Quin said. "But then we get beat by the Jets and we beat the Patriots, so that puts you in a situation, 'Well, OK, who are these guys?
