Fans, coaches and players took notice of Ziggy Ansah’s breakout season as the Lions defensive end made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
Along with Ansah, wide receiver Calvin Johnson will represent the Lions in the annual all-star game in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is the sixth straight year Johnson made the roster, but he hasn’t played since 2011.
Ansah is tied for second in the NFL with 13.5 sacks this season and has been the one true pass-rushing force on the team. He also has a team-high four forced fumbles.
The fans voted Ansah fifth among defensive ends, according to the NFL’s announcement last week.
