ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ameer Abdullah never thought the Lisfranc injury he suffered against the Tennessee Titans, the one that knocked him out of the 2016 season as it was just getting started, would significantly alter or end his career.
He never thought about that because he wouldn’t allow himself to think like that. He wouldn’t accept that as a possibility as he went through surgery in North Carolina, and then the exhaustive rehabilitation process that followed, for the same injury that has hampered the careers of other players.
“Never, never,” Abdullah said.
