MOBILE, Ala. -- The Detroit Lions have added a new scout to their personnel department, Ron Miles.
Miles worked for the New England Patriots as a scouting assistant last year and was the assistant linebackers coach at Ohio State in 2009-15.
He's the second addition new general manager Bob Quinn has made to the front office since he was hired Jan. 8, and the second Quinn has brought with him from his New England days.
Two weeks ago, the Lions hired Kyle O'Brien as their director of player personnel.
O'Brien, who started as an intern with the Patriots in 2000, is part of the Lions contingent scouting potential NFL draft picks at the Senior Bowl this week.
