The Detroit Lions made three moves on Friday as they shape up their roster a few weeks away from Week 1. Defensive end Romeo Okwara was activated from the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list, where he was placed last week, and he can now return to action. The team also activated safety Jalen Elliott from the COVID-19 list, and waived safety Jeremiah Dinson in a corresponding move.
Okwara, whose brother Julian was drafted by the team earlier this year, will now rejoin the active team. He will likely be on the safer side of the roster bubble this camp, and his return should be enough for him to secure his role on the team.
