The Detroit Lions are getting healthy in the pass rush department again.
Two days after the Lions took outside linebacker Devon Kennard off the non-football injury list, the team activated defensive end Cornelius Washington off NFI.
Washington, who's expected to play a rotational role on the defensive line this fall, took part in his first practice of training camp Friday.
Last year, Washington had 2.5 sacks and 24 tackles in 15 games with the Lions, making two starts. He's played in both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses in the past, and his versatility could help a Lions defense that's thin in its front seven.
