The Detroit Lions made two moves before Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles (1 p.m., Fox), activating defensive end Armonty Bryant from the exempt list and signing linebacker Steve Longa off of the practice squad.
The Lions claimed Bryant off waivers from the Cleveland Browns this week but had a one-week roster exemption for him as he worked his way back from a four-game suspension.
With Ziggy Ansah out for a third straight game with a high ankle sprain, Bryant could see time as a pass-rush specialist against an Eagles team that has yet to commit a turnover this year.
