John Dingell began representing the state of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives before the Detroit Lions last won the NFL championship. On Sunday morning, the former congressman took some shots at his hometown Lions on Twitter.
So, there's that.
Dingell, who retired earlier this year after serving in Congress from 1955 to 2015, is extremely active on Twitter, particularly about sports around his beloved state of Michigan. The 89-year-old tweeted about Michigan's win over Minnesota on Saturday night as well.
The Lions trailed the Kansas City Chiefs 24-3 at halftime Sunday and saw quarterback Matthew Stafford sacked four times while throwing two interceptions.
