SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The Lions have lost another starter, this time of their own volition.
Just minutes after losing cornerback Darius Slay to a brain injury, running back LeGarrette Blount was ejected for coming off the bench to shove Elijah Lee in Sunday's game against San Francisco. He finishes the day with eight carries for 38 yards.
Blount appeared to be upset after Matthew Stafford took a big -- but legal -- hit along Detroit's sideline. He came off the sideline to shove Wood to the ground, which drew an unnecessary roughness penalty. And since he wasn't in the game at the time of the play, he was automatically ejected.
