Stephen Tulloch is still a Detroit Lion.
The Lions informed Tulloch last month that they planned to release him sometime after the start of the 2016 league year, but five days into the season, that transaction has not yet taken place.
Asked about Tulloch's status with the team on Sunday, a team spokesman said by text, "We have nothing to announce today."
Tulloch, the Lions' starting middle linebacker for most of the last five seasons, has a $500,000 roster bonus in his contract that's payable if he's on the roster "as of the fifth day of the 2016 league year.
