Lambeau hero Butler fighting for roster spot

LATROBE, Pa. -- The unsung hero of the Detroit Lions' biggest win last season once again is fighting for a job.

Crezdon Butler said he has no illusions about what his breakup of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ potential game-tying two-point conversion -- preserving the Lions’ first victory in Wisconsin since 1991 -- means now.

“I don’t think too much, just because it’s a new year,” Butler said. “It’s a new year, new team, new competition. And you just got to go out there and play.”

A fifth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, Butler has played for eight NFL teams and is in his second stint with the Lions.
