Mel Kiper has a new three-round mock draft that reflects last week’s big Rams-Titans trade.
The ESPN draft expert predicts that the Lions will take Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson with the No. 16 pick in the first round (pay site). That’s the same pick Josh Katzenstein of The Detroit News projects for the Lions in his latest mock draft.
In the second round, No. 46 overall, Kiper has the Lions taking Auburn offensive tackle Shon Coleman, and in the third, No. 95, Texas defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway.
Kiper on the Lions: “I'd like to get an offensive tackle, but I'm not going to reach in Round 1 and instead get a polished defensive end who can jump into the rotation and take some pass-rushing pressure off Ziggy Ansah.
