Detroit Lions team president Rod Wood announced Wednesday afternoon that veteran NFL general manager Ernie Accorsi has been selected to help the Lions in their search for a permanent general manager.
Why Accorsi?
Not only does he have more than 40 years of NFL front office experience, but he also helped the Carolina Panthers in their search and eventual hiring of Dave Gentleman as general manager in 2012, and the Chicago Bears in 2014 with their hiring of Ryan Pace.
“We heard great things about him from the teams he’s worked with before,” Wood said.
