Interim general manager Sheldon White knows the deal. He gets it. If he wants to lose the interim part to his job title and become a candidate for the permanent general manager job after the season, his job is simple.
“The biggest direction I got from Mrs. Ford was she’s not giving up on this season,” White said. “Her direct message to me was, ‘I need to win and I want to win now.’"
White is in his 19th season in the NFL and has eight weeks to prove that he’s the right man for the job.
