ALLEN PARK -- Nobody rushed for fewer yards than the Lions in the first week of the season. Only Arizona and Pittsburgh allowed more.
Nobody threw more picks. Nobody allowed more points. Only the Chargers allowed more yards per punt return.
And the Lions were blown out by 31 points at home -- against a rookie quarterback, no less -- to open the season.
It's hard to imagine Matt Patricia's debut going any worse.
But while the talk this week has appropriately hinged on the meltdown, and how to prevent another one, it wasn't all thorns for Detroit in the opener.
