ALLEN PARK -- Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has remained mum on the growing protests around the league. His wife is not.

Kelly Stafford, who gave birth to the couple's twins earlier this offseason, said in a pair of Instagram posts that she believes people should stand during the national anthem.

"I've been hesitant to talk about this, as I know I will get backlash from it, but I believe we can stand and show our unity against everything that doesn't represent what this flag stands for," she wrote in the first post, after quoting a Detroit Free Press column that argues against kneeling for the anthem.
