SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Kelly Stafford, wife of Matthew, has never been one to mince words. And she didn't when LeGarrette Blount came to her husband's defense Sunday against San Francisco.
"I don't care," Kelly Stafford said in an Instagram story. "I love Blount for that (expletive)."
With the Lions facing another fourth-quarter deficit, Stafford tried to make something happen when he dashed for the sideline. But he stayed in bounds, which made him fair game, and 49ers linebacker Elijiah Lee unloaded on him.
The hit was big, but legal.
That didn't matter to Blount.
