ALLEN PARK -- Josh Bynes could be headed for his most important game yet since rejoining the Detroit Lions this season.
Weak-side linebacker DeAndre Levy is not expected to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, while middle linebacker Tahir Whitehead has practiced all week but been extremely limited in portions available to the media because of a knee injury.
That leaves Bynes as Detroit's top healthy linebacker heading into a showdown against the Saints' No. 1-ranked offense.
"(He's) extremely valuable because he's, you know, obviously a very, very good football mind and very versatile, very dependable," coach Josh Bynes said.
