Johnny Manziel's football career resurrection hasn't gone as planned so far.
But the latest step -- a trade from the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the Montreal Alouettes -- might be the spark the former Heisman Trophy winner needs.
For starters, it gives him a chance to be one.
Manziel was stuck behind former Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli on the depth chart with the Tiger-Cats, through no fault of Manziel. At one point, Masoli had nine consecutive 300-yard passing games, tying a CFL record.
Also, the trade to Montreal reunites Manziel with Mike Sherman.
