The Detroit Lions could be getting their starting left tackle back soon.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said left tackle Taylor Decker is progressing towards a midseason return from June shoulder surgery.
"Yes," Caldwell said Thursday. "He's making progress. Obviously it’s going to be (up to) the doctors and the evaluation and all that kind of stuff."
Decker tore the labrum in his right shoulder during the second week of organized team activities and was expected to miss four to six months with the injury.
