Jarrad Davis injures leg, carted off in Detroit Lions preseason game

The Detroit Lions lost one of their key defensive players to a potentially serious injury in Friday's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field.

Linebacker Jarrad Davis was carted to the locker room with what appeared to be a right knee injury that he suffered on the second snap of the Lions' third preseason game.

Davis was injured when linebacker Devon Kennard fell into the back of his leg on a Buffalo running play.

Davis got to his feet and tried to return to the huddle while officials were marking off a holding penalty, but fell to the turf almost immediately and slammed his fist on the ground.
