The NFL Honors—the league’s post-season award show—will take place on Thursday, February 6, just a few days before the Super Bowl. This week, the NFL announced finalists for their awards, and several Detroit Lions could be walking away with hardware.
Most notably, quarterback Jared Goff is one of five finalists for Most Valuable Player, joining Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Saquon Barkley. While it’s unlikely Goff will win considering Jackson was named first-team All Pro by the same set of voters who voted for MVP, it certainly should be considered an honor for Goff to be among the five finalists.
