Jared Abbrederis' attention to detail didn't go unnoticed this Lions camp

DETROIT -- Jared Abbrederis came to the Detroit Lions as the outsider, the one wide receiver in a heated training camp battle who didn't have time invested in the system. He started on the low rung on the totem pole.

He climbed up it in ways that could be easy to miss.

And now he's here, as the Lions' No. 5 wide receiver behind Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay and T.J. Jones. He might be No. 4 before long, for all anyone knows. He has a way of sneaking up the ladder like that.

It started in organized training activities, back when he was just a member of the large receiver crowd with just a tad more flash to his resume.
