For the second week in a row a Lion has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. Cornerback Jamal Agnew earned the Week 2 award after returning a punt 88 yards for a touchdown with 12:56 left in the fourth quarter of Detroit's Week 2 win on Monday Night Football.
- Agnew finished the Lions' Week 2 win with 101 yards on three punt returns against the Giants (33.7 avg.).
- His 88-yard punt return touchdown was the fifth-longest punt return in Lions history and the longest since WR Reggie Swinton returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown at Carolina December 21, 2003.
