It had been 638 days since Lions TE Michael Roberts scored a TD. Just ask him.

ALLEN PARK -- It sure seemed like it had been a long time since Michael Roberts caught a touchdown pass. And nobody knows that better than Michael Roberts.

"Six hundred thirty-eight days," he said Wednesday as he was congratulated at his locker on Sunday's score against San Francisco. "Six hundred thirty-eight days, man. Long time."

Roberts was a touchdown machine in college. He had 16 his final year at Toledo, which led the nation's tight ends. And it was enough to entice the Lions to take him in the fourth round of last year's draft.

But his role was limited as a rookie, with Eric Ebron and Darren Fells ahead of him in the rotation.
