Is the Detroit Lions roster better or worse than it was last year?

ALLEN PARK -- This weekend, the Lions will host their rookie minicamp, and it'll be the first time Matt Patricia can go hands-on on the field with some of his new players.

A judgment on the coaching will have to wait, but the bulk of the roster is set for the 2018 season.

The Lions currently have the 10th-best odds of winning the NFC, per Bovada.lv. But we want to hear what you think.

Here are the major moves they've made:

Key additions:

  • LB Devon Kennard
  • RB LeGarrette Blount
  • TE Luke Willson
  • DT Sylvester Williams
  • LB Christian Jones
  • CB DeShawn Shead

Key departures:

  • TE Eric Ebron
  • LB Tahir Whitehead
  • DT Haloti Ngata
  • TE Darren Fells
  • C Travis Swanson
  • DT Akeem Spence

Draft class:

Round 1, Pick 20: Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas
Round 2, Pick 43: Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn (via trade up)
Round 3, Pick 82: Tracy Walker, DB, Louisiana-Lafayette
Round 4, Pick 114: Da'Shawn Hand, DE, Alabama (via trade of 2019 pick)
Round 5, Pick 153: Tyrell Crosby, OL, Oregon
Round 7, Pick 237: Nick Bawden, FB, San Diego State

Detroit went 9-7 for the second straight year last year, following the same formula: It had a top-10 passing game and a bottom-five running game.
