Is it concerning Matthew Stafford hasn’t played in the preseason?

Free Press sports writer Carlos Monarrez answers three questions after the Detroit Lions' 30-23 loss to the Houston Texans on Saturday in Houston:

Who shined the most in this game?

The offense finally showed some life and the Lions allowed just two sacks. But the defense was the star of the game. Safety Will Harris, a third-round pick, returned a fumble 19 yards for a touchdown, Andrew Adams had an interception, Romeo Okwara had a sack, two quarterback hits and a forced fumble and linebacker Jahlani Tavai, a second-round pick, seemed to be everywhere. There’s little question that big things are expected of this defense, which added key players like Trey Flowers and should improve upon last year’s 10th overall ranking.
