The Detroit Lions won’t have the services of linebacker DeAndre Levy or tight end Brandon Pettigrew in a pivotal game Sunday night vs. the Denver Broncos.
Levy is listed as doubtful on the official injury report and it appears the Lions will be without their best linebacker for a third straight game to start the season.
Asked when Levy might return to practice and eventually game action, head coach Jim Caldwell said Friday: “Whenever the doctors release him, but he’s making good progress.”
Pettigrew injured a hamstring blocking for an extra point late in a Week 1 loss in San Diego.
