Creeping back up on Rashean Mathis came a concussion, forcing the veteran cornerback to sit out Wednesday practice. ESPN's Michael Rothstein reports that the concussion was sustained in Week 7 during the game against the Minnesota Vikings. For now, Rashean Mathis is sidelined and did not practice on Wednesday as the Detroit Lions got back to practice following the bye.
Concussions are dangerous, tricky things. From Rothstein's account, Mathis was suffering symptoms before the London game against the Kansas City Chiefs but the team's medical staff did not think they were related to the blow Mathis suffered against Minnesota.
