Glover Quin’s iron-man streak of consecutive starts remains intact.
The Lions’ Pro Bowl safety is active and will start his 99th consecutive game today vs. San Francisco.
That streak, which is the longest active streak among all safeties, appeared to be in jeopardy earlier this week after Quin suffered a concussion Monday night in the win in New Orleans.
He sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday, but returned in limited fashion on Friday as he progressed nicely through the NFL’s return-to-play concussion protocol through the week.
“Everything is happening to try and stop me from getting to 100,” Quin said Friday with a smile of the ankle injury he suffered on Thanksgiving and now the concussion.
