ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Lions and Packers have played in some big games over the years, mostly with Green Bay causing Detroit heartbreak over and over and over again.
If it wasn’t Aaron Rodgers, it was Brett Favre. If it wasn’t Mike McCarthy, it was Mike Holmgren. If it wasn’t in Lambeau Field, where the Lions hadn’t won in almost a quarter-century before last season, it was in the Silverdome or Ford Field.
And yet Sunday's meeting, depending on what happens earlier in the day, might be the biggest in recent memory.
