DETROIT -- No position group changed more for the Lions this offseason than tight end.
So it's no surprise the tight end group is the most up in the air as cut day approaches.
In an offseason that was mostly about keeping the core of the offense in place amid a head coaching change, no group had the fundamental changes that tight end did, in scheme and personnel and coaching and use in Matthew Stafford's offense.
The Lions cut Eric Ebron, watched Darren Fells depart to Cleveland and signed Luke Willson, Levin Toilolo, Marcus Lucas and Sean McGrath to a room with holdovers Hakeem Valles and Michael Roberts.
