Thanksgiving isn't until next week, but Hue Jackson has to be pretty grateful Marvin Lewis still is the head coach of the Bengals.
That meant Jackson was only unemployed for a couple weeks.
The former Browns head coach is back in Cincinnati, with the official title of "special assistant to the head coach." That's a mouthful, and basically means Jackson is a fill-in after the Bengals canned defensive coordinator Teryl Austin on Monday.
Lewis is planning to handle the defense himself, and Jackson is Dwight Schrute.
I wanted to make an Office joke about Hue Jackson's "special assistant to the head coach" title, but everyone already has and now it just feels lame.
