Detroit QB Matthew Stafford keeps the ball himself and rushes into pay dirt for a 5-yard touchdown.
DETROIT -- There have been times during Matthew Stafford's career when he has run for game-winning or game-changing touchdowns.
Rarely, though, are those plays called in those situations for the Detroit Lions quarterback. Typically they happen off a scramble or -- like against Dallas in 2013 -- off a decision Stafford makes on his own. It’s why offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter’s decision to call a quarterback draw in the fourth quarter of the Lions’ 18-13 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday was quite surprising.
