The Lions could have as many as six new defensive starters in 2016, with end Ziggy Ansah, cornerback Darius Slay and safety Glover Quin among the few locks to open next season in the same spot they finished this one.
The Lions are bound to re-sign some of their own free agents, and defensive tackle Caraun Reid and cornerback Nevin Lawson are considered returning starters, given the amount of playing time they got last year.
