With some semblance of real competitive Detroit Lions football on our television screens Thursday night, I gave my remote control all it could handle rewinding to cover as many meaningful observations as possible from the Lions defensive line performances against the New York Giants. One of the glaring takeaways, throughout the game, was that the Lions front office’s 53-man roster decision making just became a little tougher on the defensive front.

- Defensive tackle: Starter: Mekhi Wingo, Reserve - David Bada

Notable defensive line observations
