As soon as the season ended, national media sites started ranking destinations for coaching and general manager rankings. The Detroit Lions, coming off a 5-11 season with only five picks in the upcoming draft and a roster filled with holes from top to bottom, consistently came in near the bottom of each and every one of those lists.
And while the hirings of general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell didn’t exactly send shockwaves through the NFL, the Lions have done an amazing job building a supporting cast around them.
