Holy swiss! Packers stun Lions with Hail Mary, 27-23

What a finish. And what a way for the Detroit Lions’ faint playoff hopes to come crashing down.

Aaron Rodgers threw a 61-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Richard Rodgers on one final untimed play as the Green Bay Packers rallied from a 20-point third-quarter deficit to shock the Lions at Ford Field, 27-23.

The Lions scored 17 points in the first quarter, but the Packers took advantage of two third-quarter fumbles – one of their own – and a late facemask penalty on Devin Taylor to end the Lions’ three-game winning streak in dramatic fashion.

After the Lions failed to run the clock out after getting the ball at their own 20 with 3:04 to play, the Packers (8-4) had a first-and-10 at their own 21-yard line.
