The Detroit Lions came into training camp with questions along the defensive line, particularly when it came to health. Those have since been blown open by the season-ending injuries suffered in the past couple days by Kerry Hyder and Brandon Copeland.
With Ezekiel Ansah still on the physically unable to perform list and Cornelius Washington sidelined, plus suspensions looming for Armonty Bryant and Khyri Thornton, the numbers Detroit hoped to employ up front just aren't there at the moment.
It's becoming more and more likely the Lions go outside for help. They have $7 million in 2017 cap space, enough to bring in a body or two from what the free-agent market is at this point in training camp.
