Golden Tate plays good samaritan on his day off

Typically around the NFL, Tuesday is considered the players’ day off. After a day of rewatching game film on Monday, players usually report to the facility on Tuesday for a fairly short day of meetings. After that, they either help out in the community or take a day of well-needed rest with the family.

This week, Golden Tate got in some good samaritan work in before he even arrived at the Allen Park facility. Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com got the scoop as he passed Tate in traffic Tuesday morning:

Not only is @ShowtimeTate a great receiver, but he’s a good Samaritan as well.
