The 2015 NFL Top 100 is being released in the annual celebration of the league’s elite players. Golden Tate is one of three Detroit Lions to be honored on the list so far and comes in at number 85 after being unranked last season.
Martin Mayhew brought Tate in last season to play opposite franchise and future hall of fame wide-out Calvin Johnson. But the second round pick of the Seattle Seahawks ended up serving as Matthew Stafford’s number one target when Calvin Johnson missed time with injury. It was Tate’s performance in those games the thrust him into the national spotlight.
