ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Golden Tate will take off from Detroit on Friday for Washington, D.C. Then, he’ll head overseas for a quick jaunt to the other side of the world.
The Detroit Lions wide receiver is taking part in a USO Tour over the next week in Kuwait, one of two NFL players visiting the military at Camp Buehring on Monday.
“The itinerary is really just to spend time with our military,” Tate said Thursday. “We’ll be there hanging out, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’ll be staying on the base, maybe run some drills.
