Golden Tate: End to Detroit Lions' season 'makes my stomach hurt'

HOUSTON -- Golden Tate went home to California a few days after the Detroit Lions' season ended last month with mixed feelings about the year.

Tate had a team-high 1,077 yards receiving and topped 90 catches for the third straight season, but the Lions lost their final four games and blew a chance to win their first division title in 23 years.

"Personally, if you look at the stats, yeah, I had a decent season," Tate said today on radio row at Super Bowl LI. "But if you look at team wise, you’re sitting in the driver’s seat, two games up in your division and you find a way to blow that, that kind of makes my stomach hurt a little bit.
